These establishments shine for the creations of their chefs, for the flavors and ingredients they mix. Experts in the kitchen chose the 50 best restaurants on earth.

Every year The World’s 50 Best publishes a list of the best restaurants in the world based on the opinion of its panel of experts in the culinary arts. The list of 50 restaurants across the globe keeps some of the establishments constant.

However, as of last year the committee agreed that the first place in the prestigious list could only be held once. In other words, no first place can be repeated. Another recent decision was that due to the global health emergency, the 2020 list and celebration were postponed to 2021.

In total, the list has two Mexican restaurants, one Colombian, one Chilean, one Argentine, one Brazilian and two Peruvian representing Latin cuisine. The two Mexicans are Pujol at No. 12 and Quintonil at No. 24, both in Mexico City.
